Creative exercise experimenting with logo design creation and application recreating the identity of luxury Mexican hotel 'Las Alcobas'.
The updated mark represents warmth, comfort and luxuriousness.
Hotel Las Alcobas is known in Mexico for it's unique architecture, particularly the helical (curved) staircases visible throughout the hotels. A crescent shape (also used to display the letter 'L') morphed or enjoined with a curved letter 'A' is a visual representation of this, as well as a symbol of comfort, safety, and exoticness.
The use of warm colors was necessary in order to represent the warm temperatures of a tropical country.
